Workshop begins at 2PM and ends with a pot luck dinner where we will enjoy some of the delicious foods eaten by the Tocobaga and made during the workshop.

Facilitated by artists Hermann Trappman and Elizabeth Neily

Sponsored by First Florida Frontiers, in partnership
with Sacred Lands Preservation and Education.

The Tocobaga were the American Indians living along Florida’s Central Gulf Coast when the first Europeans arrived after 1492. At the time of discovery, they had lived for thousands of years on one of the most productive estuaries on Earth. Today their culture is extinct. However, evidence seems to indicated, they had developed a sustainable economy within this environment. Can we do it again?

Help us celebrate their lives. Help us search for their insights.
